Donald WG Lindsay with Finlay WellsPiper, singer, songwriter and instrument designer Donald WG Lindsay is joined by guitarist, composer and producer Finlay Wells for an intimate duo concert at The Rockfield Centre, presented alongside Lindsays exhibition Dreaming Pipes: Ten Years of the Lindsay System.At the centre of the performance is the Lindsay System: Lindsays extended-range, keyless Scottish smallpipe design, now widely played and heard across contemporary folk, experimental and film music.

In this close-listening duo setting, smallpipes, voice and guitar come together in a programme of Scots song, slow airs and tune sets, drawing on traditional melody, new writing, and a musical conversation between Lindsays extended-range pipes and Wellss expansive guitar playing.
