An adventure in the Herefordshire and Shropshire borders exploring out-of-the-way and little known gems with Anglo Saxon and Anglo Norman architecture. Through the tour the major features of Anglo Saxon architecture will be explored, the historical background described, and discuss whether Anglo Saxon architecture ends with the Norman Conquest!General stout shoes or walking boots recommended. Much of the tour will be looking at church exteriors and walking around churchyards. It will proceed even in wet weather. Warm clothes might be needed in the churches.There are no shops or pubs nearby. Bring your own packed lunch. Drinks available at lunchtime and teatime.
