Matt Long Fundraiser - Friday: Steve Ajao Blues Giants + Indigo Kid

Joe Joe Jims favourite bluesman Steve Ajao, backed by the excellent Blues Giants, will be returning (along with a new bass player) to JJJ on Friday 7th June to kick-off our 3-day Matt Long Fundraiser event.Now in its fourth decade, the Blues Giants trio play authentic classic American Blues with Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Jimi Hendrix, Robert Parker, Johnny Guitar Watson evident in their set, all played with a cheeky smile on their faces!We're looking forward to a great night of blues with Steve Ajao and the boys (George Cook - bass, and drummer Pete Washboard Hammond) who bring a wealth of musical experience to the stage and always put on a great show.Also on the bill is Indigo Kid, a local band who blew us away with a showcase spot at one of our Open Mic Nights with their covers of rock/indie classics and have since returned to JJJ in support of local hard rock band Hard Graft, Vincent Flatts Final Drive and as part of our Teenage Cancer Trust fundraiser.
