About
We are delighted to hold our first Gala Evening of music from the portfolio of Gilbert and Sulllivan.
We are delighted to hold our first Gala Evening of music from the portfolio of Gilbert and Sulllivan. Gilbert and Sullivan were the stars of comic opera from 1871 till 1896, a prelude to the Victorian transformation of Copped Hall. Expect to hear gems from The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, Iolanthe and many many more.
Ballads, songs and snatches with top G&S singers Eleanor Jane Moran (soprano), Leon Berger (baritone) and Russell Painter (tenor) with Tim Smith at the piano. And expect the odd singalong too! A wonderful light-heated evening. The concert will be held in the Saloon on the First Floor of the Mansion and is therefore unsuitable for wheelchair users as there is no step-free access. Please contact the Box Office for further information if you have any mobility issues. An audio relay may be extended to the Ground Floor.
