An imaginative, hands-on workshop exploring ecology and place through The Six Bowls, a participatory artwork creating ideas and actions for a more just and resilient future. Join artists Robbie Coleman and Jo Hodges for a creative exploration of water, place and imagination in the Glenkens.
Inspired by their Six Bowls arts project, this participatory workshop invites a small group to explore the ecological, cultural and imaginative life of water. Beginning at The CatStrand and including a short walk to the nearby Mill Burn, we will gather observations, stories and questions from the landscape before returning to explore our relationships with water through conversation and creative activities. Together, we'll consider how water connects people, ecosystems and futures, and create small encounters inspired by the day's discoveries.
No specialist knowledge is required; just curiosity, a willingness to participate, and an interest in engaging with place, ecology and each other. The event will be run in two parts: Part 1: 12.00pm-1.30pm Break for lunch, please bring your own or book at CatStrand Cafe which is essential. Part 2: 2.15pm - 4.15pm.
