Dauntless

Dauntless exists between the old and the new.

Consisting of Connor Civatte on fiddle, Rory Carter on Octave-Mandolin and Bodhran, and Josiah Duhlstine on Cello, the group aims to explore often overlooked 18th century tunes in a new light.

Taking inspiration from not only modern Trad but other genres as well, Dauntless juxtaposes tried-and-true tunes with unique original compositions.

Dauntless had their first run of performances in early 2025 where they entered and won Battle of the Folk Bands at Celtic Connections.

They have continued to perform across Scotland, reappearing at Celtic Connections in 2026 as well as having their debut at Edinburgh Tradfest.

In May of 2026 they released their first single, Corrie Man, which reimagines the traditional reel into a groovy 7/8.

Their second single, Superstition, will be released later this year.
