Composed two years after the Messiah, Samson is one of Handel's greatest and most dramatic choral works. Based on Milton's poem Samson Agonistes, It tells the story of the blinded hero, Samson and his eventual triumph over the Philistines, Highlights include the magnificent arias "Total eclipse" and "Let the bright seraphim".
Join us to experience this great work with outstanding young soloists from the Royal Academy and our much esteemed Amersham Festival Chamber Orchestra (Leader Charlotte Edwards, Organ Gregory Drott). Conducted by Iain Ledingham.
