Simon Mulligan

Although many jazz musicians are also trained classical musicians, it is unusual for an artist to manage successful careers in both.

UK-born US-based pianist Simon Mulligan is certainly one.

A recipient of the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Music, as a concert pianist he includes appearances at the likes of Carnegie, Wigmore, and Royal Albert Halls.

Collaborations include performances and recordings with Yehudi Menuhin, Joshua Bell and Sting plus a long association with composer Michael Kamen.

And his jazz bona fides are equally as strong, with almost 20 recordings covering both the classical and jazz repertoire to his name.
