"Portraits of Friends, Family, Strangers and Owls" is Emma Burton's new exhibiton at the cornerHOUSE;
come and meet her and chat about her work.Emma is an artist, occasional writer, accidental project manager and shameless stationary hoarder. She works mainly in acrylics, pastel, mixed-media and digital.After getting hooked on life drawing in 2021, Emma has focused her work on the endlessly fascinating subject of people. She loves the way a portrait captures how one person sees another. In this exhibition, she explores how portraits change depending on whether the subject is a stranger, a friend, a close family member or herself.
