This led to a meteoric rise in T'Pau's fortunes at home & in the USA, where the track stayed on the US Billboard Chart for six months.After a European Arena Tour supporting Bryan Adams, and another UK Tour of their own, TPaus next single China In Your Hand stayed at No. 1 for five weeks - the longest serving No. 1 of the year.Simultaneously, their debut album Bridge of Spies occupied the No. 1 album slot for two weeks and went on to become a certified quadruple platinum in the UK - selling 1.2 million copies.

Their own arena concerts followed, and the subsequent 1988 record Rage also went platinum.TPau enjoy the exclusive title of holding three simultaneous No. 1 slots; China In Your Hand No. 1 in the singles charts, Bridge of Spies No. 1 in the album charts and the China Remix at No. 1 in the dance charts! TPau were nominated for 5 Brit Awards and an Ivor Novello Award , and won an ASCAP Award from the USA for Heart & Soul.The original line up of T'Pau split in 1991, but in 1997 Carol built a new line-up & embarked upon a 25-date UK Tour plus festivals, recording several shows and releasing T'Pau Live .

In 1998 Carol recorded Red , the first new T'Pau studio album for six years, as well as performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Princess Diana Tribute Concert.T'Pau joined Status Quos 1998 European Tour.In 2013 Ronnie Rogers rejoined & T'Pau began the hugely successful #TPau25live Anniversary Tour.

The subsequent record Pleasure and Pain was then released in 2015, to 5-star reviews.

In 2017 T'Pau proudly promoted The 30th Anniversary Virgin Anthology Boxset .The band are now a regular fixture on the Festival & Arena circuit, annually rocking Isle Of Wight, Rewind, Lets Rock, W-Fest, Here and Now, Step Back, Ibiza Hardrock, Night of The Proms, 80s Classical and 80s Orchestral shows.
