Have you ever wondered what those intriguing looking metal attachments that came with your vintage sewing machine can do?This year we are offering 3 sessions with each one covering 2 different types of attachments to help you make the most of your vintage sewing machine. Come to one or join them all basic sewing machine experience will be beneficial, and each workshop stands alone. Perfect for curious beginners and sewing enthusiasts alike!The second of our three attachment sessions covers binders and rufflers.We will dive deep into the attachment box to help you identify ruffler feet, gathering feet, shirring attachments and binders. You will learn how to neaten and enhance seam allowances, armholes, necklines etc. with commercial or homemade bias binding, and how to ruffle, gather, shirr fabric to give your projects shape and texture.Please do not bring your own sewing machine. All equipment including vintage sewing machines, attachments, thread, fabric etc. will be provided for you. You are welcome to bring your own box of attachments to help you with identification.Please note, spaces are limited so booking is essential.
