Fabric: Creating Care brought together young people and practitioners working from across creative, health and community spaces to collectively rethink youth mental support. From drawing comics, making poetry and acting, to designing gardens with natural resources, the Fabric cohort explored creative, inclusive and community-rooted approaches that prioritise prevention and collective care. We're now delighted to share a special Fabric: Creating Care display, which shares a reflection of our process and findings, creatively put together by Original Copy, an artist-led collective based in Dundee. The display reflects a living record of what supports us, what fails us, and what we're building together, creatively capturing experiences, insights, reflections, and evolving understanding - from the need for more joined-up care services to how we better equip young people to actively shape the support systems that impact their lives.Led by Creative Dundee with project funding from NHS Tayside Charitable Foundation and Northwood Trust, this peer-led programme was delivered in partnership with healthcare, community and creative organisations.Fabric also received support from the Participation and Communities Team as part of The Scottish Parliament's 12-month Communities Action Plan to connect grassroots groups and third-sector organisations directly with the work of Parliament. You are welcome to go and see the display any time the Parliament building is open, as it is situated in the public area of the building.
You do not need to book.
The building is wheelchair accessible and there's airport style security to get into the building. For more info about the display, please visit this page.
