THE TENTERDEN RHYTHM & BLUES REVUE 2026 Memphis Soul | Chicago Boogie | Blues | Big Band SwingRockin' Roots Events returns to the Old Dairy Taproom for one of the most ambitious Kent live music events of the year a hand-curated, Revue-style showcase bringing together four titans of the UK and international blues scene for one extraordinary afternoon and evening in the heart of Tenterden.
Following the tradition of the great collaborative sessions of the 1950s and 60s, we've assembled a powerhouse lineup delivering the soul of Memphis, Chicago-style boogie, and the swing of a golden era all under one roof.
THE ARTISTS
OLI MISSISSIPPI MACDONALD BAND A 3x UK Blues Award winner and member of the prestigious Take Me To The River All Stars, Oli has recorded in Memphis with the legendary Hi Rhythm Section and earned praise from Carla Thomas herself. Bone-deep in his delivery, with masterful guitar work and powerhouse vocals he is the real deal.CHRIS CORCORAN BIG BAND Widely regarded as the UK's finest blues and jump-swing guitarist, Chris is a multi-time UK Blues Award nominee and winner of Best Instrumental Album at the Blues Junction Production Awards. Performing with his full Big Band, expect a brass-heavy, high-octane set that blends 1950s rhythm and blues with impeccable musicianship.RARA A vocal powerhouse whose sound is steeped in rich Southern Soul. Drawing inspiration from 1960s icons like Aretha Franklin and Ronnie Spector, RaRa has recorded at the world-famous Royal Studios in Memphis with Grammy-winning producer Boo Mitchell. Her "Made In Memphis" sound laced with gospel and raw energy is an experience like no other.MAX HIGHTOWER (USA) Joining us from across the pond, Max Hightower is a master of Chicago-style blues harmonica and a virtuoso pianist.
