From the gentleness of the American Mid-West, the chiming of church bells in Errollyn Wallen’s Violin Concerto ushers in a personal depiction of memories from the early life of our soloist, Philippe Quintt, before Beethoven takes us back to dance in the riotous rhythm of his mesmerising Seventh Symphony.
