Experience music as it is meant to be heard -up close and live. In a relaxed, intimate setting, the principal players of Orchestra of the Swan perform with spontaneity and passion, offering a fascinating mix of the timeless and the unexpected: from 14th-century street tunes and J.S. Bach to David Bowie, Vivaldi, Erik Satie and Radiohead.Typically featuring between three and eight players from the orchestra, these sessions create a uniquely immersive musical experience. Each performance dissolves boundaries between genres and centuries, celebrating the power of live music to connect us. At a moment when technology often blurs the line between truth and illusion,The Swan Sessions are a reminder of what is real - human beings communicating, creating and transforming sound together in the moment. From the Heart of the Dark Forest - Folk Tales from Eastern EuropeA spellbinding concert featuring violin, accordion and cello, where classical virtuosity meets the wild pulse of Eastern Europes folk traditions. Expect the fiery fiddling of Ravels Tzigane , the whirlwind dances of Brahms and Monti, and the earthy vitality of Bulgarian, Romanian and Bohemian melodies. This programme celebrates the deep roots and vivid colours of a shared musical heritage. With its cinematic sound world and intricate textures, the ensemble evokes the spirit of musicians playing around fires, in cafs and village taverns - where every note seems to rise from the heart of the forest itself.PAY WHAT YOU DECIDE (PWYD) - decide on the night! At The Swan Sessions, we believe that live music should be open to everyone.
