You don't have to 'get it' to enjoy our session - just be open to joyful sounds, spontaneity, humour and larks, great musicianship, storytelling and chat, The Funk, characterful tunes that are the opposite of bland. Fear not. I'll be there to welcome you in. I'm around for a chat and to make you feel comfy - especially if you've never been before. All the people who come are friendly too. It's casual and relaxed, there's no dress-code and the gig's a great way to meet new people (if you want to, of course). If you've never been to The Barrel House before, it's a lovely spot nestled beneath the castle at the top of the High Street in Totnes.
It has a long history in the region as a much-loved music venue and it has a regular programme of gigs by touring and local musicians and DJs.
The Barrel House does hot drinks and craft beers via the downstairs Totnes Brewing Co. On our sessions, there will be sharing plates of nibbles served at café tables AND youre allowed to bring in food from takeaway joints nearby!
