Cwf26 Walk 12 - Lydney Forest And Brewery

The route starts at Forest Brewery micro-brewery and heads uphill along Watery Lane, passing through Norchard Wood before reaching the Bream Heritage Path at Brockhollands.

Here, theres an opportunity to discover the historic Princess Royal Mine and learn more about the areas fascinating industrial heritage.

The walk then continues through Whitecroft to Upper Forge, taking in a network of surrounding heritage paths and offering a unique glimpse into the rich history of the Forest of Dean and the ironworks that once shaped its landscape.

From Upper Forge, the route returns to the starting point along peaceful forest paths, with lovely views towards the River Severn along the way.

On returning to The Forest Brewery, there is the opportunity to relax and enjoy the craft beers on tap and local cider.The brewery also offers a takeaway option for customers with their own containers!This walk is suitable for well-behaved dogs.6 miles moderate with a few stiles.
