Hailed as an ensemble “set to take Yorkshire’s classical music world by quiet storm”, Cuore Chamber Orchestra, Yorkshire’s new professional orchestra, continues on its breathtaking trajectory in their inaugural season with a concert celebrating the composer, Joseph Haydn.
In a first for the orchestra, Cuore will be performing in the splendour of Harrogate’s iconic grade I listed St Wilfrid’s church.“Since Cuore Chamber Orchestra was first launched at the Royal Hall in Harrogate last May, its aspiration to become something akin to the ‘Halle of Yorkshire’ has been clear to see not only in the excellence of its breathtaking performances but in the professionalism of its set-up.” - Graham Chalmers, The Harrogate AdvertiserUnder the guidance of Artistic Director William Dutton, Cuore’s young, world-class musicians will present a captivating programme of works by Haydn, Elgar, Malcolm Arnold and Mozart.
The concert will also see the launch of the orchestra’s new initiative “Cuore Future Stars”, a platform to bring and showcase emerging musical talents from the UK and Europe to Yorkshire.
Cuore is delighted to be performing with Turkish-born international cellist Cansın Kara, the first artist in this scheme, who will interpret Haydn’s Cello Concerto N°1.In a season of firsts, and in line with the orchestra’s commitment to showcasing works by British composers, the second half sees a rare performance of Malcolm Arnold’s Sinfonietta No.1.
The evening will conclude with an eternal audience favourite - Mozart’s ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusik’.
