Hear from BAFTA and multi-Emmy Award-winning wildlife cinematographer Robin Smith as he shares behind-the-scenes stories and insights into the art of natural history filmmaking.Robin Smith is renowned for capturing the beauty and intricacies of the natural world.

Collaborating with the BBC, Disney, Netflix, and National Geographic, he has brought the world's most elusive wildlife moments to our screens.

Having filmed in nearly 100 countries, Robin brings a profound understanding of diverse ecosystems and the extreme challenges of wildlife cinematography.Whether you are an aspiring filmmaker or a nature enthusiast, this captivating evening will showcase the wonders of our planet.

Discover the technical mastery required to capture fleeting images, and explore the vital importance of conservation in a changing world."I couldn't imagine anyone filming this better" - Sir David AttenboroughIf you would like to watch Robin at work before the event you can watch his episode of Secret Garden: The Wye Valley (BBC) and by following him on Instagram: @robinsmithtvThis talk is run by the Lower Wye Valley Building Preservation Trust, a volunteer charity which is purchasing St Mary's Church a seriously at risk listed building and scheduled monument on the hillside above Tintern Abbey.

Consolidating this ruin is our current priority (for safety reasons this site is currently closed and unauthorised entry is prohibited), but LWVBPT are also lobbying Welsh Water and the Wye Valley Community Council to restore the Fryer's Wharf Slipway, an ancient crossing and landing point connecting England and Wales, to public use.Annual membership costs 10 a year per person, and other than the satisfaction of directly helping to conserve our heritage, gives a discount to our events as well as other offers.
