A playful improvisation workshop: think on your feet, keep scenes alive and learn to rescue the moment when a line goes missing.Every performer's nightmare: the line vanishes, the prop breaks, the door won't open.
Improvisation is the skill that turns those moments from disasters into stories you'll tell for years, and it makes everything else on stage feel safer. In this playful, hands-on session we'll build the core skills of improvising: listening, accepting, reacting and keeping a scene moving.
Then we'll look at how to use them in scripted performance, from covering a dropped line to staying alive in a scene when it's not your turn to speak.
Fair warning: this one tends to produce a lot of laughter.
No experience needed. The kettle's on from 10am, and the session runs 10.30am to 12.30pm. 5 HIADS members, 10 public.
