Bissett first delighted Scottish readers with his debut novel, Boyracers, in 2001.

But he's also an award-winning playwright and shape-shifting performer, in plays such as his "one-woman show", The Moira Monologues.

On the publication of two of his scripts - When Billy Met Alasdair, about Billy Connolly and Alasdair Gray, and The Red Hourglass, in which he performs as several species of spider (and a wasp!) - Alan will act out scenes from both plays and discuss his theatrical process.
