Olive Grinter & Joe Shrimpling

Olive Grinter & Joe Shrimpling and their band will be celebrating the release of their debut album ‘Silent Strings and Colourful Wings’ in September and October 2026 with a series of live shows across the UK. The album CD is available to purchase at their gigs and will be streamable from September 19th.
Good friends Olive & Joe recently discovered their shared passion for songwriting and have come together to create a collection of songs telling tales of nostalgia, friendship and whimsy. Drawing influence from John Martyn and Nick Drake, Joe’s delicate and thoughtful fingerpicking style embraces Olive’s warm, sensitive vocals which are likened to Laura Marling and Norah Jones.
In Spring 2026, Olive, Joe + friends performed a sold out set of shows in Brighton (Folklore Rooms), Bath (Wine Vaults), and Cardiff (The Gate) in celebration of their debut single ‘Pause to Breathe’. The duo also played a series of intimate acoustic gigs in the Harlequin in Sheffield, Bristol Folk House, and at All Roads Festival. From mellow vocals that wrap the room in a warm hug to thigh slapping, fast paced jigs that bring the audience to their feet, the group provides a joyful mix of beautiful lyrics and quality musicianship.
