Workshop: One Day Spiral Border Basket course with Jo Hammond

Weave your own beautiful spiral bordered basket, complete with natural log handle.This project is a great introduction to willow basketmaking; working step by step youll learn to add stakes, select the right materials, how to weave and shape sides, build the slanted border and secure the handle.

This design beautifully displays natural willow colours and textures.If you have some basketry skills already, you can opt to make your own base and create the larger basket.Note- willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm gripTea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Please either bring a packed lunch or visit the on-site Tiptree Tearoom (pre-booking strongly advised).The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided (although you may wish to bring your own pair of sharp secateurs).

This workshop is only suitable for over 18s.
