Brushy One String

The King of One String is coming to Hoots!Jamaican original Brushy One String brings his one-of-a-kind live show to Hootananny Brixton, armed with little more than his battered one-string guitar and a voice that sounds like a whole band.Born Andrew Chin and raised in Jamaica, Brushy grew up surrounded by music - the son of legendary reggae singer Freddie McKay - and developed his own unmistakable style blending reggae, blues, soul, folk and dancehall.

His one-string guitar isn't a gimmick; Brushy uses the instrument for bass, rhythm and percussion while laying down powerful, soulful vocals over the top.Presented by Hootananny Brixton. This is an 18+ event
