WITH EAMONN HUGHESJoin celebrated Irish writer Bernard MacLaverty for an evening of conversation exploring a lifetime of storytelling and the craft behind some of the most admired fiction of recent decades.
In this special event, MacLaverty will reflect on his work, the inspirations that have shaped his writing, and the themes that run through his fiction — from memory and faith to love, exile and the complexities of Northern Irish life.
With characteristic warmth and insight, he will discuss the enduring power of the short story and the novel, and the role of place and history in shaping narrative.Bernard MacLaverty is the author of several acclaimed novels and short story collections, including Cal, Grace Notes and Midwinter Break.
His work has been widely recognised, with Grace Notes shortlisted for the Booker Prize and Midwinter Break longlisted for the Booker Prize.
