He has been Head Writer and Executive Producer of Doctor Who since it returned to the BBC in 2005 and has written many of the new series' most memorable episodes. He was awarded an OBE in 2008 for services to drama. He divides his time between Cardiff and Manchester.Owain Wyn Evans is an award-winning television and radio presenter, currently waking up the nation with his Early Breakfast Show, Monday-Friday on BBC Radio 2. Well known for his record-breaking 24 hour Drumathon for Children In Need which raised over 3.8m, Owain can also be seen weekdays as the latest presenter to join BBC1's Homes Under the Hammer. Passionate about interior design and home renovation, Owain also hosts Wales Home of the Year on BBC One and hosts his own celebrity home tour podcast, Love What You've Done With The Place. Born and raised in Ammanford, Owain is a proud member and supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.
