Were opening the doors to our Grade II listed building a remarkable piece of history right in the heart of Oldham. Built in 1815 by its own parishioners, this was the worlds first purpose-built independent Methodist Chapel. More than two centuries later, it still stands as a symbol of community spirit and resilience.

Discover how the building has been preserved and repurposed over timeToday, the chapel isowned and run by Age UK Oldham, with every penny raised helping to support vital local services for older people in our community.
