We follow several people across one fateful train journey, as each shares a personal story, interspersed with recorded audio pieces from an international cohort of contributors.

Each heartfelt anecdote sheds light on the small inconveniences that shape visually impaired people’s daily lives.

Four Out of Five demands radical empathy by asking what we all have in common, across disabilities, generations and continents.Four Out of Five opens with an introduction to integrated audio description, and weaves visual descriptions into the dialogue.

VICS creates work which challenges traditional understandings of access devising new ways to place accessibility at the core of storytelling.

Additionally, the audience is invited to interact with the story live through touch, taste, smell and song.
