Join us in The Cookery School for our Taste of... series and discover the vibrant, exciting and diverse flavours of the Far East.This hands-on, full-day cookery course will introduce you to some favourite dishes inspired by the cuisines of East and Southeast Asia, exploring the wonderful balance of sweet, sour, salty, spicy and umami flavours. You’ll discover how to use aromatic herbs, spices, sauces and fresh ingredients to create dishes packed with flavour, while learning techniques and recipes that you can recreate in your own kitchen.£130 per person Lunch includedYour Day
Your day begins at 9.45am at the Furnace Café, where you’ll be welcomed with tea or coffee, included as part of your experience. It’s a relaxed opportunity to meet your fellow delegates and your chef before heading into The Cookery School.Your chef will talk you through the class menu and how the day will run, introducing you to the dishes you’ll be preparing and the key ingredients, flavours and techniques you’ll be exploring. You’ll then be assigned your own workspace in our fully equipped kitchen, overlooking the beautiful Bodnant Welsh Food surroundings.Our step-by-step tuition is fun, relaxed and easy to follow, whether you’re already confident in the kitchen or looking to learn something completely new. Your chef will guide you through each dish, sharing useful tips and techniques along the way, while our Cookery School team will be available throughout the day to offer help and advice.Everything you need is provided, including all ingredients, equipment and an apron, with drinks available throughout the class. You’ll spend the day cooking and tasting your way through a delicious selection of Far Eastern-inspired dishes before enjoying a light lunch with refreshments.At the end of the day, you’ll leave with new skills, recipe notes and your own delicious dishes to take home and enjoy, as well as plenty of inspiration to recreate the flavours of the Far East in your own kitchen.Please remember to bring suitable containers with you so you can take your dishes home.Come and spend a delicious day exploring the vibrant flavours and culinary traditions of the Far East - and discover just how much flavour you can create in your own kitchen!
