Errol Linton is the harmonica wizard from Brixton (of Jamaican descent), a singer, a songwriter, a painter and the hero of the London music scene where he has played his unique and highly original blend of blues with hints of reggae for 30 years. His music is warm, loose, very Caribbean think how the mighty Mississippi river flows into the Gulf Of Mexico just as the music from Texas to New Orleans filtered through to Jamaica via radio stations and sound systems and Errol's songs personified a down-home black British experience, wry and lyrical, sad and angry.

A humble, weary blues unlike any other British blues artist.Errol was noticed early on by John Walters John Peel's celebrated producer who would film Errol in 1990 for a BBC documentary (its on Youtube). The likes of Johnny Walker, Andy Kershaw and the late Charlie Gillett all featured Errol on their BBC radio shows.Later in his career BBC radio broadcasters Cerys Matthews and Robert Elms both have championed Errol. However author/journalist Gareth Cartwright sums up what we all already know, Errol Linton leads the best & most unique blues band in Britain. The blues man, guitarist, songster and dobro player Gypsy Dave Smith performs on his birthday for our anniversary show (although hed admit that he's a few decades older).

The Australian-born/Durham based performer is a awesome musician & a fine raconteur.
