Fireworks at the Fort

Watch in wonder as spectacular fireworks light up the night sky over the River Tyne where Swan Hunter used to launch its ships.The museum and shop will be closed for the event, except to those vistors with tickets for the viewing tower.

Toilet facilities will be available in the car park.There'll be a selection of coffee vans on-site selling refreshments.Please note that Buddle Street, which runs alongside the fort site, will be closed between 5.30pm and 7.30pm to protect pedestrians attending the event.

This event attracts thousands of visitors, there will be no onsite parking and limited local parking.

We recommend using public transport to travel to the event.We're sorry, but dogs won't be permitted on site during the event, and visitors arriving with dogs will be refused entry.
