Zürich-based Pina Palau's music could be described as crush and heartbreak meet dry humour, vulnerability meets warmth.
Pina always reports from the perspective of a musician who's quietly exploring the human mind.
Live, her band offer pedal-steel romance, western-style guitar picking and fuzz-Telecaster flares, Hear it and you'll understand why Pina is sometimes called the "Swiss sister of Adrienne Lenker".
Other pertinent reference points would be Courtney Barnett and Anna Erhard.
