Artful Connections: Storytelling Through Textile Art With Sabina Poonwassie

Join artist Sabina for a creative 3-week textile art workshop inspired by the storytelling of the Bayeux Tapestry.
Create your own textile story based on anything that inspires you - your family, local history, a journey, the landscape around you or a story of your choice. Over the three weeks, you'll explore different techniques including applique, needle felting, embroidery and embellishment, building your piece week by week.
You can join for all three weeks to develop one larger piece, or come along for an individual session and create a smaller panel. No previous textile art experience is needed - just bring your ideas and creativity!A light lunch will be provided free of charge, so come along, try something new and enjoy a chat with new friends.Suitable for women aged 18+. All abilities are welcome and no previous experience is needed.
