This autumn, Scottish Opera brings one of the most enchanting tales in the repertoire right here to Pitlochry.Humperdinck’s Hansel & Gretel is a story that speaks to all of us: two children, lost and hungry in a darkening forest, summoning every scrap of courage and wit to outsmart a very wicked witch indeed.

This beautifully crafted five-singer production, accompanied by an intimate piano arrangement, strips the opera back to its storytelling heart, and is all the better for it.
