We are absolutely delighted to welcome one of the world's most respected wine critic and journalist, Jancis Robinson to lead a very special wine tasting for the latest edition of a classic of wine writing. The first edition of The World Atlas of Wine made publishing history when it appeared in 1971 and subsequent editions have ensured it remains the most authoritative, must-have wine reference work available.

This ninth edition will bring readers, both old and new, up to date with the fascinating and rewarding world of wine.To reflect all the changes in the global wine scene since the last edition in 2019, 18 brand-new maps have been added to the wealth of superb cartography in the book.

The incisive text has been given a complete overhaul to address the topics of most vital interest to today's wine-growers and drinkers including the impact of climate change resulting in new wine-growing in the far north of Europe and the sustainability initiatives being explored globally. With beautiful photography throughout, Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson, the world's most respected wine-writing duo, working with esteemed maps editor Julia Harding, have once again joined forces to create a classic that no wine lover can afford to be without.Jancis Robinson is editor in chief of the award-winning JancisRobinson.com and writes weekly for the Financial Times.

In addition to co-authoring The World Atlas of Wine since its 5th edition, she is founding editor of The Oxford Companion to Wine, and co-author of Wine Grapes.

Jancis was the first person outside the wine trade to qualify as a Master of Wine, in 1984.

She was awarded an OBE in 2003, France's Officier du Merite Agricole and the German VDP's highest honour in 2016, and has six James Beard Awards.

She also has two Lifetime Achievement Awards - from the IWSC (2018) and the Institute of Masters of Wine (2024).
