Cumbria Festival Chamber Choir & The Heron Writers Group
Sunday 6th December 2.30pmCumbria Festival Chamber Chorus is a small choir of some 16 to 20 singers drawn from the ranks of the main Cumbria Festival Chorus. The Chamber Choir's repertoire is varied, wide-ranging and often very demanding and the expectation is of high quality performances.
The Chamber Choir is directed by Ian Jones, one of Cumbria's most respected choral directors with over 50 years experience of choral training and directing.
From its inception in March 2024 the Chamber Choir has performed to great acclaim in a variety of venues including churches in Winster, Crosby Ravensworth, Field Broughton and Ings. The programme will include works by Britten, Finzi and the lively 'Little Jazz Mass' by Bob Chilcott.
The afternoon will also feature original writing from the Heron writing group.
