As good as it gets!This November, witness 11 of the finest brass bands from Europe come together for a spectacular, unmissable day of music!A contesting day like no other, Brass in Concert is the Eurovision of brass banding - with the same level of excitement and supporter loyalty.How is it different, you ask? Well, creative programming, innovative lighting and choreography are but a few of the ways in which Brass in Concert is the premiere brass band entertainment contest.

No band performs in the same way, or with the same music.

Each one brings a unique concept and theme to the day, kept firmly under wraps until the week of the contest (so mysterious).Here’s a fun fact for you: last year’s event saw an incredible 50 new commissions/arrangements make their debut on the Sage One stage.

To put that into perspective, BBC Proms saw 19 premieres and ten new commissions.

Our performers are committed to ever-expanding creativity and ambition, pushing the limits of what the everyman expects from a brass band.And, speaking of bands ... you’ve got this far without us mentioning them.

Let’s rectify that, shall we? This year’s line-up is:Aldbourne, Brighouse and Rastrick, the cooperation band, Cory, Desford Colliery, Foden’s, Flowers, The GUS Band, Hepworth, Tertnes Brass and Tredegar.Hosting the day is none other than Frank Renton, a living legend in the world of brass bands, and the voice of our Championships.Whether you’re a longtime fan or a brass newbie, Brass in Concert is not to be missed.
