Are you ready to take the leap for every heartbeat?Imagine standing at the top of the 10-storey Esua Goldsmith Building, taking in the spectacular views across Leicester before stepping over the edge and beginning an unforgettable descent.Join us for one of our most exciting fundraising events and help us to raise £20,000 to enhance cardiology services across Leicester’s Hospitals.

In celebration of World Heart Day, you’ll be part of an incredible challenge as supporters from across the city come together to make a real difference for local heart patients.Date: Saturday 5 September 2026Location: Esua Goldsmith Building, University of LeicesterRegistration: £20 per personFundraising Target: Set your own target/team target and let’s get fundraising together!Minimum fundraising requirement is £175 per personWhether you’re conquering a fear, ticking an item off your bucket list, supporting a loved one, or saying thank you for the care you’ve received, The BIG Abseil is an experience you’ll never forget.No experience needed – just a sense of adventure!Challenge yourself, make incredible memories, all while supporting local heart patients.

Funds raised will directly support the heart services at our hospitals, helping to provide additional resources for patients, their carers, and the NHS staff who look after them, and improve outcomes for the community across Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and beyond.
