Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fred MacAulay was required to cancel his 2025 Edinburgh Fringe performances and his planned Autumn Tour. He is now preparing to return to touring in 2026 with his show “GOOD EVENING!”
Now entering his fourth decade in comedy, Fred MacAulay remains committed to stand-up performance, the career he pursued after moving from corporate work and into entertainment. His career has included extensive work in television and radio in the UK and internationally. Despite this wider media presence, MacAulay continues to regard stand-up as the central focus of his professional life.
In “GOOD EVENING!” audiences can expect MacAulay to reflect on current events and personal experiences. With nearly 18 years as a frequent guest on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, he brings long-standing experience in topical humour. As a family man, he also anticipates discussing the latest developments in his personal life, including becoming a grandparent.
Over the years, MacAulay has appeared on several well-known television programmes, including Celebrity Mastermind and Celebrity MasterChef. Although he is often associated with “celebrity” formats, he remains primarily recognised for his stand-up work.
For publicity, MacAulay offered this light-hearted remark:
“I really hope that a lot of people come out to see this tour. I think it’s the best show I’ve done since the last one.”
He looks forward to welcoming audiences back in 2026.”
