The Get Together ft. Nic + Tom Eaves

As Sidmouth prepares for its Jazz Weekend, Villages in Action invites you to an intimate afternoon of live jazz in one of the town's most beautiful settings. The Get Together is a daytime concert series created for those who want to experience exceptional music in a relaxed, accessible space; unhurried and genuinely special.About the Young Musicians
Tom and Nick are both accomplished young musicians who have been performing together for many years now. As a guitar and double bass duo they enjoy performing well known jazz standards and entertaining at functions and events. They also play with a variety of larger ensembles. With their big band DYJO they performed at Vienne International Jazz Festival in 2024 and will be back there performing this summer. They also performed at the Royal Albert Hall in last year at Music For Youth proms. They are both Devon Youth Jazz Ambassadors, performing on behalf of the Music Education Hub to promote jazz to other young people. When not performing together Tom is part of a jazz guitar duo performing at local restaurants and has been offered a scholarship on jazz guitar at the Royal Welsh Conservatoire of music. Nick also enjoys classical music and plays with the National Youth Orchestra as well as ISCA, Exeter Symphony Orchestra and Devon Philharmonic Orchestra.Produced in partnership with the Devon Music Education Hub, this is part of a wider commitment to nurturing musical life across rural Devon.
