6.308.30pmJoin us for an autumn community feast at Hackney School of Food a warm, welcoming evening of generous, home-cooked food shared around the table.Our Community Feasts are about bringing people together through food: celebrating the incredible diversity of Hackneys food cultures, sharing stories and traditions, and creating space to connect with neighbours over a delicious meal. Expect abundant sharing platters, relaxed communal dining, and dishes made with love.This second feast in the series celebrates Rooted in Food, our monthly international cooking and gardening group at Hackney School of Food. Rooted in Food brings local residents together to cook, grow and explore dishes and food traditions from around the world, with sessions inspired by recipes, ingredients and stories shared by members of the group.For this special evening, were bringing some of the recipes and ideas explored through Rooted in Food to a bigger communal table, alongside seasonal produce grown in our garden.About our chefOur lead chef for the evening is the brilliant Keshia Sakarah chef, food educator, writer and author of the award-winning cookbook Caribe. Keshia is also the chef educator for our Rooted in Food programme and will be joined by volunteers from the group to prepare a menu inspired by the dishes theyve cooked and explored together.Come hungry, meet new people, and experience the joy of sharing great food around one table.The menuFlatbread

Thanks to support from Hackney Councils Community Fund, we offer 30 community tickets per feast on a pay-what-you-can basis. Please choose the option that best reflects your situation.Guide prices15 Supported: for those not in work, students, or on a low income

We do not have an alcohol licence, but you are welcome to bring your own.
Soft drinks will be available to purchase, and water will be provided.
