Emma Turner is a North Devon printmaker and creative facilitator working under the name Emma.In.Colour. Her work centres around lino printing, storytelling and creating welcoming spaces where creativity feels accessible to everyone, regardless of experience, age or confidence.
This session is designed to introduce young people to the world of printmaking in an accessible, low-pressure and tool-safe way while still giving them the experience of creating and printing from their own original design. Using print foam means participants can draw/indent and emboss their designs rather than carve, making it suitable for younger ages and beginners while still keeping that exciting reveal moment that printmaking is known for.
The workshop will focus on experimentation and play to encourage participants to explore texture, repetition and mark making while creating a print they can take home.Ideal for young people ages 8+ , Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Why not stay on & enjoy the Youth Council Fashion Show at 3.30pmPart of the Get Creating season at Barnstaple Library
