London Pantomime Horse Race Returns with Spectacular TV & Movie Icons ThemeFollowing last December’s hugely successful Rock & Pop Icons edition, the world-famous London Pantomime Horse Race gallops back into Greenwich for its 13th running with a spectacular new theme: TV & Movie Icons.On Sunday 13 December 2026, more than 20 teams will charge through the historic streets of Greenwich in elaborate pantomime horse costumes inspired by some of the biggest names and most memorable characters from film and television.

Hundreds of spectators are expected to line the route for one of London’s most unique festive fundraising events.This year’s race promises even more entertainment, with organisers planning a host of exciting surprises.

Further announcements will be revealed later this autumn.Among the teams already entered are Mare-Lyn Monroe, Dr Hoof, and Alan Parthorse, with competitors transforming themselves and their trusty steeds into imaginative tributes to legendary screen icons and beloved TV characters.One of the event’s most unique features is the “Back A Nag” online fundraising challenge.

In the months leading up to race day, teams compete to raise sponsorship for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, with the highest fundraisers earning the most favourable starting positions on the grid, as well as special fundraising awards.Now firmly established as one of London’s most colourful and entertaining charity events, the London Pantomime Horse Race combines outrageous humour, creative costume design and community spirit, while raising vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
