Blackburn Festival of Light Street Band

The Blackburn Festival of Light Street Band is a community drumming group performing a range of rhythm-led music inspired by Brazilian samba. The band is made up of members aged 16-76 and welcomes everyone, from beginners to experienced musicians to join them.Experienced drumming leaders Matt and James will work with the group to develop a range of rhythms and to ensure that everyone can take part no matter what level of previous experience.There are opportunities to perform at festivals and events and the sessions will help you to be performance ready should you choose to take part in these performances, although this is not compulsory. Costumes will be provided for performance events.The band meets every Wednesday (term time only) .
Doors open at 6pm for booking in and chatting- session runs 6.15-7.15pm
Venue is The Bureau Centre for the Arts, Exchange Street, Blackburn, BB1 7JN.
