We’re delighted to showcase the work of Colin and Sylvia Dales in this inspiring new exhibition.Colin Dales is a contemporary abstract painter who brings a unique approach shaped by his background in fine art restoration.

His layered, textured works explore time, erosion and structure, with recent inspiration drawn from water and light at Castle Espie.Sylvia Dales presents her beautifully crafted ceramics alongside this.

Working with earthenware and traditional techniques such as terra sigillata and smoke firing, her pieces are influenced by Etruscan and Korean pottery, creating a powerful connection between past and present.Graffan Gallery Castle Espie 23rd May - 21st June 2026.
