Get ready for WordFest! Take part in a poetry workshop with a difference. Join the Pontefract Castle team and Lindsey Marie from Black Horse Poets Society for a welcoming poetry workshop and walk. Mysterious and mythical wordcrafting awaits...Well start at the bandstand with a brief introduction. We'll then head out on a walk around some different points in the castle grounds. At each stop youll be given creative prompts and encouragement to develop your own poetry and ideas. Youll have the chance to share what you have written or listen to other peoples work.If youve ever wanted to get creative with words, but not sure where to start, then this is the workshop for you! This workshop is for adults 18+.There is also a separate workshop for families with children aged 10+ [https://www.ticketsource.com/wakefield-museums-castles/walk-and-write-pontefract-families-10/e-bpvdep].Comments from our last Walk and Write Poetry Workshop:Really interesting mix of history and creativity. Hosts were both really knowledgeable and inspiring. Very enjoyable morning that will lead to more creativity! Thank you both so much.Just wanted to say thanks again to you and Lindsey for putting on such a great event :) it has re-awakened the poet inside me!AccessibilityThe walk will take place in a small loop around Pontefract Castle.
