Following an easy to follow, step by step process, they will learn about the best local woods to carve from, safe tool use, and learn a variety of carving techniques to guide them through the process from start to finish.
Aimed at beginners but all levels of experience welcome.
Wood and tools provided.Sitting in a circle outdoors with a bunch of people, carving wood into something that is useful and beautiful, is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable ways of spending a day I can think of.Tim Hutton is a local woodsman, craftsman and spoon carver, who has been working with trees and making things out of wood for the last thirty years.Places are limited and booking is essential.
