Made in Dagenham - Central Musical Theatre Co

Central Musical Theatre Company are proud to present 'Made in Dagenham'.

Based on a true story (and on the hit movie), it is the uplifting musical comedy about friendship, love and the importance of fighting for what is right. It takes us back to 1968 when the sewing machinists at the Ford factory in Dagenham walked out and went on strike demanding equal pay.

In doing so they took on the full might of Ford USA, The British Government, the TUC, public opinion and initially their own colleagues - and won!!Their protest subsequently became the leading catalyst towards the passing of the Equal Pay Act in 1970.With a fantastic score and plenty of humour, this heartfelt musical explores themes still poignant today: workplace sexism, class, politics and even the influence of America! Central will bring their ensemble talent and energy to this exciting production.Wednesday's performance will be signed BSL
