ACMC: Pirasti Piano Trio with Sophie Renshaw, Viola

Nicholas Miller, Violin, Alison Wells, Cello, and Jeffrey Sharkey, Piano, plus Sophie Renshaw, ViolaThe Pirasti Trio came together in 1989 and performed throughout the UK, Europe and the USA until 2001.

They had a particular interest in English music, and undertook many recordings and broadcasts.

In 2021, after they were all living back in the UK, they reunited as a trio, performing at The Yehudi Menuhin School, where they teach every summer.

Sophie Renshaw was Principal Viola of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra for 8 years and teaches at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
