My work explores Science Fiction and Dreaming to create immersive worlds that I call 'Live Dreams'. These expand our perception of sound and listening using constellations of wearable cyborg technologies, voice, body, sculpture and sensory experience to create morphic spaces.This is a squishy, visceral approach to music performance with shapeshifting eco-materials that melt and reform, alongside infectious, exhilarating soundscapes, and brutal beats.My works have been released on Accidental Records, The Lumen Lake, Pearlhome Records, Doitthissen Records, Earlid, Linear Obsessional Records and The Women Composers Collective.I have curated shows and content for Rinse FM, NTS Radio, Resonance FM, British Airways and Aer Lingus. I have had airplay on BBC Radio 6 (Stuart Maconie's Freakzone), Soho Radio, Super Sonic Podcast, BBC Radio 3 (Corey Mwamba's Freeness and Elizabeth Alker's Unclassified) BBC Merseyside and Resonance FM (Bad Punk Radio).I have been featured in Electronic Sound Magazine, Louder Than War, The Wire, The Quietus, The Guardian and Tentacular Magazine.I have over 15 years' experience facilitating workshops and sound design for communities of all ages and commercial partners. As a qualified teacher, I lecture in electronic music production at NTU. I run regular public workshops in sound design, synthesis, recording, performance and improvisation with partners including NARBUTAS International, No Bounds Festival, The Oram Awards and The Design Museum.Stephen Carley aka aUDIOMAPS.

And a host of brilliant collaborators who have been working with him (on and off) since lockdown number one 2020.Teddy Hunter is a Cardiff based audio visual artist and electronic musician working in alternative soundscapes, immersive audio and ecology. Her practice takes root in sonic arts, exploring the environment through field recording, installations and immersive audio within performance blending her solo music practice exploring the gentle immersive ambience combining song writing in both Welsh and English, traditional instrumentation and her current forest research within an audiovisual performance.
Characterised by dreamy loops, gradual builds and synthesized melodies, her performances slowly unfurl fragmented strata of sounds collectively entwining with the ethereal humanity of layered vocals and field recordings that are reflected in the hypnotic live visuals that blend the worlds of the ambient, the ecological and visual synthesis. Experimenting with field recordings, spatial sound and visuals to create soundscapes and ambient electronic immersive experiences, her work takes a focus around ecology and the interactions between humans and nature.
The alter ego of Teddy Hunter, DJ Evergreen traverses between the biological and the vegetal, finding a path towards communicating to the Human through sound and visual. As a forest spirit, DJ Evergreen is a mediator unearthing the voices from within the forest ecosystem unfurling a layer of new voices within micro sounds of sap within trees and roots of soil. Let the forest talk, aid the human to listen.
As an M4C funded practice-based researcher in Musical Composition with BEAST (Birmingham ElectroAcoustic Sound Theatre), Teddy's PhD titled Forestial Voices focuses on the voice of the forest by developing sap synths, ambient and electronic music merging soundscapes with popular music aesthetics to create ambient electronic immersive experiences. Teddy is undertaking her PhD with Annie Mahtani (Music) and Adrianne Esquivel Muelbert (Geography and Science). Teddy Hunter is Green Man Rising Winner of 2021. Her debut single, Games, was released on Bubblewrap Collective May 2020. Her most recent single DAYLIGHT was released on Bubblewrap in 2024. Teddy features on the track 'The Human Touch', Late Night Final debut release on Pias Records.
